AP Capstone
AP Capstone™ is an innovative diploma program from College Board that equips students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills that are increasingly valued by colleges. AP Capstone is built on the foundation of two AP® courses—AP Seminar and AP Research—and is designed to complement and enhance the in-depth, discipline-specific study experienced in other AP courses.
In AP Seminar, students investigate real-world issues from multiple perspectives, gathering and analyzing information from various sources in order to develop credible and valid evidence-based arguments. AP Seminar is a prerequisite for AP Research. In AP Research, students cultivate the skills and discipline necessary to conduct independent research and inquiry in order to produce and defend their scholarly work.
Early College Program
Students participating in the Lindbergh Early College Program complete their junior and senior years of high school full-time at St. Louis Community College. Students earn credits toward their high school diploma and Associate of Arts degree simultaneously. At the end of the student’s senior year in high school, the student can hold a diploma and an associate’s degree and be ready for transfer to a four-year college or university. Participation in the Early College Program is dependent on the number of applicants and available district funding.
Internship/Apprenticeship
Enrollment in Lindbergh’s internship/apprenticeship course allows juniors and seniors to pursue work-based learning and learn professional skills in a career path of their choosing. Students will spend part of their time on campus learning work-based professional skills and part of their time off-campus in a career exploration, internship/apprenticeship, or service learning experience. Students must apply for the program within one of the six career paths: Arts and Communication; Business, Management, and Technology; Health Services; Human Services; Industrial and Engineering Technology; or Natural Resources and Agriculture. The following factors will be considered for admission to the program: credits toward graduation, individual career and academic plan, application essay, and teacher recommendations. Students earn academic practical art elective credit for this program. Participation in this program may meet partial requirements for the Missouri Career and Technical Education Certificate.
Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment is a type of program that allows seniors to attend college part-time and earn college credit while still taking some courses at LHS. Students are expected to be enrolled in at least two classes at LHS. To be eligible for Dual Enrollment, a student must have earned at least 19 credits to participate in the first semester, 21.5 credits in the second semester while taking five classes at LHS. Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. The student is responsible for applying to the college and completing all the steps in the admission process. In addition, students are responsible for the reduced cost of the course and providing their own transportation. Interested students are advised to meet with their school counselor for additional information. Students do not receive LHS credit for course work.
Dual Credit
Dual credit classes are college credit-bearing classes taught by high school teachers. These classes align with classes taught on STLCC campuses. This ensures you're getting a college-level experience that conveniently fits in your schedule. Select classes offered for dual credit. Min 3.0 GPA for 10th graders & Min 2.5 for 11th & 12th Graders. Math only: C or better in previous math class. Must apply to STLCC & complete course registration form.
South Technical High School
South Technical High School offers hands-on training in a variety of career and technical education programs. Students have the opportunity to investigate career interests prior to college and begin a career right after high school graduation. Students attend a two-year specific training program in one specific field of their choice. Students take four academic classes at LHS and receive technical training at South Technical High School. Grades from South Tech will transfer to LHS as practical art or elective credit and students will receive a Lindbergh High School diploma.
EMT
The EMT program is a year-long course that meets the instructional requirements for students to take the national exam for certification as an emergency medical technician. Outside of school, students will partner with Mehlville Fire Protection District and possibly other emergency transport agencies and hospitals to meet the clinical requirements of an EMT certification. Instruction will take place at Lindbergh High School, with frequent site visits to enhance hands-on learning. An EMT certification can lead to many paths in healthcare, including paramedic, nursing, firefighting, and pre-medical studies. Students will also complete CPR certification in this course. Students must take a EMT-Learning Lab as well.
St. Louis Centers for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS)
The St. Louis Centers for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) is an opportunity for high school seniors to engage in a profession based experience for high school credit outside the traditional classroom. Students learn directly from business and industry partners in workplaces such as medical labs, engineering firms, and small business incubators. CAPS also emphasizes professional skills and teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity. Students spend 2.5 hours a day with the CAPS program and can earn 3 credits per year. Acceptance in the program is application based through St. Louis CAPS with a recommendation from Lindbergh.

Aviation
Aviation is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, offering a wide range of high demand careers–from pilots and drone operators to engineers and air traffic controllers. Whether you dream of soaring through the skies or innovating on the ground, this program is your first step into an exciting and dynamic field. Upon completion of Aviation 2, students will be well prepared to take the FAA Part 107 commercial drone pilot certification exam or the Pre-Solo Knowledge Test for manned flight, opening the door to numerous opportunities in the fast growing field of aviation.
LindberghIMPACT
In LindberghIMPACT, students will participate in an innovative learning environment where they explore their passions to connect their individual educational journeys with a personal, local, and global impact. Students will take seminar-style coursework combining multiple disciplines to create a learning environment where students can earn multiple credits within the same course.
Seal of Biliteracy
The Missouri Seal of Biliteracy is an award recognized by the state of Missouri and granted by Lindbergh Schools to recognize a student who has attained proficiency in English and one or more other world language(s) before high school graduation. The recognition of attaining biliteracy becomes a part of the high school transcript for these students and serves to certify attainment of biliteracy for the community, employers and universities.
Access Point
The Access Point program offers a great opportunity for high school students interested in a technology career. It provides dual enrollment coursework at STLCC, followed by a paid apprenticeship and job guarantee. It also offers mentorship and connections to community services, as well as connections to companies offering health insurance, 401k, and tuition reimbursement for a bachelor's degree.
Certified Nursing Assistant
This two-year course is for students who are interested in earning their CNA nursing certification. This course fully immerses students into healthcare through lab and patient care experiences in assisted living facilities. Students learn human anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, disease processes, CPR, first aid, vital signs, human relations skills, and basic healthcare skills while learning to think critically. An emphasis is placed on job readiness and professionalism in the workplace. Upon completion of the program requirements, qualified students can take the Missouri State Exam to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. It is recommended that students have earned a “C” or higher in all science courses.
School Flex Program
The Missouri School Flex Program allows eligible students to work while still attending high school. The program is designed for juniors and seniors who are on track to graduate but would benefit from a combination of academic study and paid, supervised employment.
